With a track record in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering and Lead Package Manager for Iberdrola, Skjoldblad’s Marc Caldes Colomar, joined a panel of industry experts to share reflections on the evolution of floating technologies, supply chain capacities and the unmissable opportunity for the Norwegian supply chain.
Marc noted the influence of Norway in the floating wind supply chain across technologies, test centres and facilities, vessels and ports. Building on the theme of the floating wind export potential for Norway, supply chain specialists from Skjoldblad’s consortium partners TotalEnergies (Louise Thibierge) and Iberdrola (Suzanne MacKenzie) shared their respective international offshore wind project pipelines.
Focussing on supply chain opportunities from their Floating Wind projects in the UK including Iberdrola’s MarramWind off the North East coast of Scotland and TotalEnergies’ Erebus project in the Celtic Sea, a key message focussed on the objective of leveraging transferable skills from oil and gas industries supporting the green transition.
